HOW TO WRITE IN SIGN LANGUAGE?

   Once you are familiar with or learned the above information, it will be easy for  you  to  understand  how  the  Combination  of  letters  and   alphabetic characters that, added or combined together, serve to make sense or  form words. 

 To communicate in sign language, it is necessary to comply with 5 important parameters. 

1.   The HANDSHAPE while making the sign (what is generally known as manual alphabet). 

2.   The ORIENTATION of the hand while the sign is being developed.

3.   The PLACE, that is:  the facial, manual, corporal, and 

spatial place where the hand or hands make the sign.

4.   The MOVEMENT that is traced or developed to make the sign.

5.    The NON-MANUAL COMPONENTS that are carried out 

 in parallel with the sign, which can be: the movements of the lips, the head, the body or the facial expressions. 

   Sign writing meets 4 of these criteria with the exception of non- manual components; This is not a difficulty nor should it surprise us since in oral language it is not possible to write the inflection of the voice in certain words or sentences to communicate it clearly.

Easy Grammar.

To write on signs is easy. 

First: The HANDSHAPE is written. 

Second: The DIRECTION OF THE PALM of the hand.

Third: The PART OF THE HAND that will make the contact.

 Four: PLACE IN THE BODY: the place of contact where the sign is made.

Fifth: The MOVEMENT that is made when the previous 4 are combined.

      When writing or reading in sign language, and the sign is being made with one hand, it will be written from left to right. 

   The first contact will be after the vowels finger, the movement will be made on the first-place alphabetic character and then the second and in that order. Generally, the position of the hand and its movement can be determined naturally by the place of contact.

  The distinctive configurations that hands take when used to form words is known as Handshape. 

  This can take many forms. It would be practically impossible to describe or represent all of them here. It would be even much less possible to use them in a written language such as Sign Language.

Therefore, only 30, will be used in this writing system: ZulWsigns. Naturally, these will not be the only ones since other forms of the hand are also used as classifiers in sign language. 

Only capital letters (big letters) will be used in the handshape of this writing system.
