Words
You have already started the path that will allow you to read and write in sign language. As you have seen so far it is an easy and practical writing system, as you will continue to confirm as you go through this manual.
As previously indicated, as you progress in this book, you will receive appropriate instructions to understand the use of these alphabetic characters and body place so that the Deaf person can transmit and receive information in a way that they can understand.
In the first pages of this book, we have asked you to have a CALLIGRAPHY NOTEBOOK on hand. You could also use the sheet in this book to practice writing. You will also need a notebook where you will write down, as you go through the study of this book, what to your judgment is more useful.
Use a small pocket notebook or a small agenda, so that you can write down new words or interesting things related to Writing Signed Languages, and in order to have at hand the necessary material to be able to advance quickly in your mastery of Sign Language. It is recommended to read as much as you can in sign language, during the lost moments of the day.
Write down all the words from the first lesson on it. Continually review these by signing as you read until they are as familiar to you as their English equivalents. These words must be annotated with their translation.
Remember that you can also download educational games online to facilitate your learning.
Observe carefully how the order of the alphabetic characters describes the words and the movement that is expressed in sign language. You will see how easy it is to use, how easy it is to read and write them like any other written language.
If you are an interpreter, your job will be to use it and teach it to Deaf people.
