As you may remember, above some handshape, vowels finger and some alphabetic characters, have movement indicators that point the direction of the palm of the hand. Learning these indicators is not difficult, as you will see they are easy to remember.
As a clarifying reminder, we will start with the indicator on the alphabetic character of the palm of the hand and how this changes the direction of the palm of the basic handshape.
Although this rule is applicable to the 5 basic positions of the handshape, we will concentrate on the first 3 as they are the most frequently used.
Let's see how that works.
^ v > < This indicator on the alphabetic character when it is not on a alphabetic character in the palm of the hand, but on another alphabetic character, modifies the direction where the place of the alphabetic character will point in space.
Remember that, these 2 alphabetic characters without orientation indicator up, just indicate the difference between the right hand and the left hand.
This indicator above the alphabetic character, when it is on a palm alphabetic character, changes the direction of the palm in the handshape.
